The radiant Ikumi Nakamura did her thing before announcing her studio’s first game: KEMURI.

A person with short black hair, glasses, and a black hoodie with stickers, stands in front of a cityscape with tall buildings. The background features a large mural or display of many monstrous, mythological, and fantastical creatures, such as demons, monsters, and spirits, towering over the city.

Control Resonant

Control Resonant’s exact release date was finally confirmed during the show. I remember being excited to play the original Control (2019) after saw its E3 trailer — it truly looked unique. When I finally got to play it on day one, I was hooked.

It’s hard for me to explain why I love the Control franchise so much — maybe I just loved how strange the game was — to me, that was one of its biggest strengths. Even when I wasn’t playing it it was on my mind, I needed to learn more about the characters (especially more about my goat Dr. Darling) and the world itself. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it from start to finish; it went on to be one of my favorite games of all time.

The older I get, the more I temper my expectations for games, but I highly doubt we’ll be disappointed by this new, fascinating adventure Remedy Entertainment has cooked up for us.

Control Resonant releases September 24, 2026.

God of War Laufey

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting a new God of war game to be announced already, especially since Santa Monica Studio announced that they were remaking the older God of War Games as a remake trilogy a few months ago. I’m looking forward to playing Laufey and learning more about the ever-expanding mythical world that this new GoW game will offer us. And of course, the music is going to slap — Bear McCreary is back to compose another legendary soundtrack.
